Chenango River Theatre Seeks Stage Manager, Interns

Chenango River Theatre, a professional non-profit theatre operating under contract with Actors' Equity Association, is looking to fill both administrative and production positions for their 2016 season.

Stage Manager: Seeking person who would like to earn their Equity (union) card by working with us on an ongoing basis (2-3 shows per year). Must have prior theatre experience, either backstage or onstage. Highly organized, detail oriented person with patience and a sense of humor. Good computer and time management skills. We are willing to train the right candidate. Must be available evenings and weekends for rehearsals. This position could be combined with the Box Office Intern slot below for a full time position through September.

Box Office Intern: Start in May, through Aug/Sept. Dedicated, organized and detail oriented person with good sense of humor, ability to work independently, strong people skills. Handle reservations, ticketing and run box office at performances. Weekly stipend: $150-$175/week, vehicle required. Schedule varies, includes evenings and weekends.

Technical Theatre Intern: Backstage, construction, run crew, May through Aug/Sept. Assist with lighting, props, running sound, assistant stage manager, etc. Backstage and/or theatre construction experience preferred. Opportunity to learn a broad range of technical skills, work with professional actors/designers and directors. Weekly stipend - $150 - $175/week.
