The Two of Us Productions are gearing up to go into their second and final weekend of their production of Mel Brooks' "Young Frankenstein." Darryl Gangloff of the Lakeville Journal writes in his review of the comedic musical, "This production of 'Young Frankenstein' ... shows how much passion a local theater company has for its craft."

Producing Director Stephen Sanborn couldn't be more thrilled to bring this production to the region. With a cast of seventeen, he is incredibly pleased on how this production has turned out and is hoping audiences will have as much fun watching the show as he did rehearsing it.

The musical adaptation of "Young Frankenstein" opened on Broadway in November of 2007 starring Sutton Foster, Andrea Martin, and Roger Bart among others. The production was nominated for three Tony Award and won and Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Musical. A first national tour set off in 2009 with a second tour opening in 2011. The show has since gone on to be produced in regional and community theatre venues all over the country, particularly as an opener for the fall season.

Gangloff of the Lakeville Journal goes on to write "Constance Lopez shies as IGOR ... Frederick is played with great comedic timing by Matthew Coviello .... There are some powerful voices in this cast. Betsy Rees sound perfect in "Please Don't Touch Me" and "Deep Love" ... Kelly Sienkiewicz somehow manages to carry an impressive tune while going for a "Roll In The Hay" ... Mark Leinung as a lonely blind hermit belted out a beautiful rendition of "Please Send Me Someone."

The production runs through October 9. For more information, visit www.stephensanborn.tripod.com/thetwoofusproductions
