The Adirondack Theatre Festival presents, Robin Hood, as part of its annual PB&J Café: A Dinner Theatre For Kids. Productions will run from June 27th-July 2nd and July 20th-July 27th (not including the 22nd and 25th). Performances will start at 12pm in the cabaret space at the Charles R. Wood Theater.
It's about time kids get to have the same amount of fun in a theater that adults do! A revolutionary idea, the PB&J Café will give young theatre-goers the opportunity to order a meal from the cast of characters, participate in a pre-show art activity, dine during the live theatre performance, and come home with autographs from their favorite actors. In its 4 years of productions, the PB&J Café has been a huge success, serving approximately 1,000 kids and families each year.
This theatrical version of the classic story has the audience participating throughout the performance, becoming members of Robin's rowdy band, and even competitors in a high stakes archery tournament!
"Robin Hood is such a classic tale about standing up for what's right in the face of adversity. It also has all the adventure and comedy of a full-scale action movie, with the added bonus of putting the kids in the middle of the story. You can't get that experience anywhere but in live theatre. I'm very excited for the next generation of theatergoers to join Robin Hood on his wild adventure and discover the magic of the theatre." - D Henry Hanson
The cast includes Bridget Dunigan (Stewart Little) as "Maid Marian" and Dan Slavin (Thirty Day Mourning Period) as "Little John." John Anthime Miller will make his ATF debut as "Robin Hood."
The PB&J Café is recommended for children ages 12 and under. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the Wood Theater Box Office, online at ATFestival.org, or by calling (518) 480-4878. The ticket price includes a meal for children and a light snack for adults. The Wood Theater is located in downtown Glens Falls at 207 Glen Street.
