Held on the world-class campus of The University of Texas at Austin, Texas Musical Theatre Workshop (TXMTW):Connects talented high school students with top Broadway artists and university musical theatre faculty.

The Department of Theatre and Dance is pleased to host an array of summer programs for students age 12 and greater.

American Ballet Theatre Summer Intensive

The American Ballet Theatre Summer Intensive is a four-week program designed for middle school and high school-aged student dancers. Taught by faculty from American Ballet Theatre and The University of Texas at Austin, the curriculum includes high level technique and lecture courses supporting the development of a well-rounded dancer.

Summer Institute: Activating Learning through the Arts

The Summer Institute: Activating Learning through the Arts is a two-week, eight-day intensive for pre-service and in-service teachers, arts educators and University of Texas at Austin students interested in using drama-based instructional strategies in their educational curriculum.

UT Theatre in Italy

The UT Theatre in Italy program brings theatre to life through creative participation. It takes University of Texas at Austin students out of the classroom and into the piazzas and streets of the breathtaking city of Florence, viewed through the lens of cultural history and live performance.
