SIX THE MUSICAL Returns to the Citadel Theatre in August

The Citadel Theatre presents a summer Special Presentation of Six The Musical, returning to their stage after four years!

First playing in the Shoctor Theatre in 2019, SIX by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss went on to Broadway to win two Tony Awards®. After its month-long run at the Citadel this summer, the award-winning musical will move to Toronto’s Royal Alexandra Theatre.

This award-winning musical takes audiences on a journey from Tudor Queens to Pop Icons as the SIX wives of Henry VIII take to the microphone to remix five hundred years of historical heartbreak into a Euphoric Celebration of 21st century Girl Power! This new original musical is the global sensation that everyone is losing their head over!

Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss originally wrote SIX while attending Cambridge University. It was first performed by fellow students at the 2017 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. An instant sensation, popularity of the show quickly spread and productions appeared across the world as far as Australia. SIX is currently playing at Broadway’s Lena Horne Theatre in New York, the Vaudeville Theatre in London’s West End, on tour in the UK and across North America, and at the Coex Shinhan Card Artium in Seoul, South Korea.

The critically acclaimed musical won 23 awards in the 2021/22 Broadway season, including the Tony Award® for Best Original Score (Music and Lyrics) and the Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Musical. The SIX: LIVE ON OPENING NIGHT Broadway album debuted at Number 1 on the Billboard cast album charts and surpassed 6 Million streams in its first month.
