Johnny Mercer: The Man Behind The Melodies is a journey of the boy who discovered the potential of the songs that came from his dreaming mind that grew into the man who understood the value of the roots of his Savannah home. Roots that strongly infused the melodies that bore their way into our hearts, made him an industry standard & helped create one of the worlds most iconic record labels. Roots that provided strength for him, his family and those who became family to him along the way.

This piece was conceived and lovingly created by playwright and multi-book author Calvin Alexander Ramsey (The Green Book). It is co-written by multi-hyphenated Broadway veteran James Harkness who is also starring alongside Executive producer, recording artist Michelle DellaFave - The Dean Martin Show. Direction by Lindy Rogers - Director and Co-Writer of The Quest; a Spiritual journey…. and Drinking My Own Juice; Musical direction by NYU graduate Noah Turner - Master’s in Collaborative Piano, Assoc MD Jersey Boys 2nd National Tour, International Tour of The Sound of Music.
