Carole J. Bufford returns to Feinstein’s/54 Below with a show exploring the evolution of popular music through turbulent times and wildly changing cultural landscapes between The Roaring Twenties to that era of excess, the Greedy Eighties. Vintage Pop features those remarkable songs that have the ability to define or capture an era. Expect an evening of powerhouse vocals, anecdotes behind the tunes, and Bufford’s inimitable delivery of melodies. Like fine wines, these songs have only gotten better with time, and Bufford will put her own spin on the tunes originally made famous by Janis Joplin, Sting, Barbra Streisand, Sophie Tucker, Ethel Merman, Judy Garland, Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, and many more!
