Remember the expression, “Three’s a Crowd?” Well not for these famous women. Little Shop of Horrors wouldn't be the musical that we know today without the consistent direction of the urchins. They serve as the story's Greek Chorus, informing us of the characters' backstories and providing access to the story's themes, taking after the popular girl groups of the 1960s, reflecting the soulful yet upbeat tunes popularized by The Supremes, The Shirelles and The Crystals. This show is a tribute to the iconic ladies who solidified their places in music history with their coordinated looks, powerful messages, and solidarity and empowerment. Tonight we celebrate the most influential black girl groups of all time. You’ll Stop in the Name of Love and start Dancing’ in the Street with the dedication these ladies have to delighting your ears as they deliver a different voice to pop music. Produced by Quentin Avery.
