54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Libra Theater Company's "Songs You Should Know" tonight, February 4th. "Songs You Should Know" is an annual concert of great music theater, showcasing new and rarely performed songs written by some of today's most talented emerging and established writers.
Hosted by Lauren Marcus (ReWrite, The Pregnancy Pact), this year's concert features a range of new work by Sam Carner and Derek Gregor (Unlock'd), Joey Contreras (All the Kids are Doing It), Amanda Green (Hands on a Hard Body, Bring It On), Caleb Hoyer (Dance Moms: The Musical), Joe Iconis (Bloodsong of Love, The Black Suits), Chris Miller and Nathan Tysen (The Burnt Part Boys, Fugitive Songs), Amy Molewski and Nick Luckenbaugh, Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (A Christmas Story, James and the Giant Peach), and Katie Thompson (Christmas with a K). The concert is music directed by Mark T. Evans.
"Songs You Should Know" will feature performances by Jennifer Bissell (Media Theatre), Max Chernin (RSO Fest), Lilli Cooper (Spring Awakening), Max Crumm (Grease, F#%king Up Everything), Matt Dengler (A Little Night Music), Seth Eliser (Joe Iconis Christmas Spectacular), Rhys Gilyeat (In the Mood), Blair Goldberg (Carrie), Molly Hager (Fat Camp), Lauren Marcus, Marissa McGowan (Bonny and Clyde), Megan Mekjian (Fiddler on the Roof National Tour), Kathleen Elizabeth Monteleone (Hands on a Hard Body), Amanda Savan (Town Hall Broadway by the Year), Michael Schwitter (Book of Mormon tour), and Alex Yacovelli (Not Your Queen's English).
"Songs You Should Know" plays 54 Below (254 West 54th Street) on Tuesday, February 4th at 9:30pm. There is a $25-$35 cover charge and $25 food and beverage minimum.
