2008 Back Stage Bistro Award & MAC Award Winner Jonathan Whitton brings his celebrated cabaret SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL back to the Laurie Beechman for a final encore performance on Monday, March 30 @ 7PM.
Musical selections for SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL come from Elton John, Mandy Moore, Rufus Wainwright, & Robbie Williams, as well as current musical theatre writers John Bucchino, Mark Campbell (SONGS FROM AN UNMADE BED), Sam Carner & Derek Gregor (UNLOCK'D), and Brett Kristofferson, amongst others.
Recently celebrated for his Highline Ballroom headlining turns as Hedwig in HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH, Jonathan Whitton follows up his sparkling, award-winning cabaret debut, with a fresh, ironic, and uplifting song cycle about the personal journey to find equilibrium between career, sex, and self.
Whitton starred in the NYC Fringe Hit UNDERWEAR: A SPACE MUSICAL and NAMT'S THE YELLOW WOOD. He reprised his acclaimed turn as Hedwig at NYC's BB Kings Blues Club on November 21st, 2008.

The evening is directed by MAC Award Winner Miles Phillips. Bistro & MAC Award Winner Steven Ray Watkins serves as Musical Director.

Jonathan Whitton's 2007 NYC cabaret debut PERFECT FINITE played sold- out and acclaimed engagements at The Triad, The Duplex, & The Laurie Beechman Theatre.
Whitton was honored by receiving the Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs (MAC) Award and the BackStage Magazine Bistro Award.
