There is a hot new room in town for music and cabaret. Room 53 (314 West 53rd Street, New York, NY 10019) is a no cover, no drink minimum wine bar (great beers on tap too!) with amazing food influenced by French and Moroccan Cuisine. On August 29, piano / singer, Walt Frasier delivers a wide variety of music with special guests from Broadway and cabaret. From 8pm until midnight, Mr Frasier will play and sing rock, blues, Broadway, Jazz and even some Opera.

Four hours will include music made popular by Ray Charles, Otis Reading, Blues Brothers, Billy Joel, Elton John, Harry Connick Jr, Sting, Jerry Lee Lewis, Beatles, Rolling Stones, and of course the classic sing-a-long fair popular at Dueling Pianos and Karaoke bars. With special guests there will be some amazing cabaret performance of Broadway and other classic standards.

The eclectic musical selections draw from Mr Frasier's own artistic upbringing and experiences. In recent years Mr. Frasier mostly performs Improv Comedy and appears on NYC TV, Film and Commercial productions. Professional resume also includes Off Broadway, Touring & Regional Theater, Opera and Concert Soloist. Digging back further, growing up a pianist and trumpet player, Mr. Frasier was always drawn to the classic rock and oldies music. The theater bug did not bite until college.

"I think what draws me to Improv Comedy these days is the ability to include all of the artistic talents into one show. Anything goes! Similar to old vaudeville and burlesque variety, you can be a goofy clown in one moment, then bust out some classical singing in the next. Throw in some tap dancing and variety show is back... in a good way!" Proclaims Walter. "My piano bar style reflects that desire to mix up the styles."

So when "What I'd Say", "Try a Little Tenderness" and "Piano Man" are followed by "Nessun Dorma", don't freak out!

Room 53 features live music nightly. Menu Reservations and more at http://www.room53.us/.
