Viktoria Tocca Returns to The Metropolitan Room with New Show

Award winning Swedish singer/songwriter Viktoria Tocca (www.ViktoriaTocca.com), who made her debut this past February at The Metropolitan Room (34 West 22nd Street) will return by popular demand with a new late night show on Saturday, June 6, at 11:30 PM. (Doors Open at 11:00 PM.)

The world acclaimed singer/songwriter will present a new intimate show that will appeal to late night audiences, featuring songs from her new CD as well as covers of songs written by others that have special meaning to her. She will be supported on acoustic guitar by Ryder Stuart.

Highlights of Viktoria's program: Original songs: "We're Still Young" and "Ready To Run" (from new album); "Stay," "In My Daughter's Eyes," "I'm Not A Girl" and "Think of Me;" covers: "Wake Me Up" (Avicii) and "Don't Let Me Be Lonely" (The Band Perry); new covers, different versions done Victoria's way: "Take a Chance On Me" (ABBA), "I Have A Dream" (ABBA), "Waterloo" (ABBA) and "It Must Have Been Love" (Roxette).

Viktoria's first single released in the States, "We're Still Young," debuted in late 2014 at #10 on Billboard's 'Hot Singles Sales chart, climbed quickly to #3 and remained on the chart for over two months. She is greatly excited that her new follow-up single, "Ready To Run," is already working its way up the charts.

After winning the Hollywood Music Media Awards in 2011 for her song "Dark Waltz," she followed up with 14 additional Indie Music Channel Awards) (IMCA) in 2012 and 2013, including 'Artist of the Year,' propelling her career in the US. In 2014 she again won the Hollywood Music in Media Awards again, this time for her hit song "We're Still Young."

Viktoria is also an accomplished musical stage performer and has starred in some of the biggest musicals in the world as Christine in Andrew Lloyd Webber's masterpiece "The Phantom of the Opera" for two years, Empress Sissi in the world premiere of the German musical "Ludwig II" and the title role in "Evita."
