The Aside Theatre Company presents Valley Variety -- a monthly vaudeville show produced by Brian Foley presenting local and national artists in the heart of Phoenix, Arizona on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at 7:30pm in the Aside Theatre located at 3508 North 7th Street, Phoenix (located in the same shopping center as Urban Beans).
Thousands of Phoenix-area residents enjoyed the Charged Landing installation (best known as 'the aliens') at the Desert Botanical Garden's Las Noches de las Luminarias during the month of December, and impresario (and ASU adjunct professor) Brian Foley is happy to bring his monthly vaudeville show back to Phoenix audiences. In 2018 Valley Variety showcased 44 individual artists, more than half of whom are women and girls, with local, national, and international credits.
The February performance includes the music of local singer AJ Odneal, circus aerials from Lindsay Straus, and handbalancer extraordinaire Dashiell Cote. Plus dance, comedy, and classic vaudeville sketches from the Valley V Vaudevillians.
Each Third-Tuesday performance includes an interactive game in which the audience can win prizes including tickets for future performances, and a performance from Vaudeville Boy, the impresario's resident alter-ego.
Ticket prices are $12 for adults, $3 for children under 13. Tickets can be purchased at www.asidetheatre.com or at the door beginning at 7:15pm the night of the performance.
Valley Variety usually has a run time of 75 minutes, and is appropriate for family audiences. For more information, visit vvphx.com valley_variety on instagram
