Author/director Billy Mitchell brings monthly performances of his comedy whodunit Villain: DeBlanks, to The Laurie Beechman Theatre beginning February 18.
The first cast of 2015 features the six hysterical actors for whom the piece was originally created, as well as a chance for you to join the fun remotely. @CallMeAdamNYC will be live-tweeting from inside the Laurie Beechman, and he will choose one lucky tweeter to help with the show's finale. Follow along on Twitter, and use #ImaDeBlanks to be part of the shenanigans.
Philip DeBlanks is dead, and one of the hooligans onstage did it. But who?
The audience provides nouns, adjectives, desserts and body parts, and the actors provide the laughs - uncensored and unrehearsed - as they enact the story using words you put in their mouths. It's "Clue" meets adult "Mad Libs," performed by some of the funniest people in New York.
Like a ride to summer camp in the back of a station wagon, every unrepeatable performance is ridiculously one-of-a-kind, and - best of all - 10% of each show's proceeds will benefit a charitable organization.
"Dying of laughter at ?@VDeblanks. Literally can't breathe, it's so funny." @Shoshanarf
