On October 15, teens from stage and screen came together at The Green Room 42 to perform a show they created, entitled #WeHaveaVoice. They played to a packed, sold-out house, singing songs with themes relevant to them including dreams and aspirations, belonging, family, and love. Their benefit concert raised over $2,500 for Covenant House, an organization they felt is important, relevant, and in need of their help, especially after the devastating weather that caused damage to seven of their shelters. Scroll down for clips from the concert!

The concert helped to raise crucial operating funds for Covenant House, whose doors are open 24/7, 365 days of the year, in 30 cities across the United States, Canada, Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. 2,000 homeless, young people sleep under a Covenant House roof a night, and the unmet need is great. In New York City, over 300 residents call Covenant House their home each night. Covenant House's goal is to reach more kids, provide for their immediate needs, and put them on a path toward independence and self-sufficiency so they can move forward to an adulthood free of violence, poverty, and the threat of future homelessness.

The show was hosted by Sofia Bryant (The Good Wife) and Sam Poon (Macbeth, The King and I, Les Miserables, Billy Elliot). The cast was led by music director Casey Erin Clark (Les Miserables). The band included Hayden Oliver on bass, Maddox Elliot on drums, and Sam Poon on guitar. The stage managers running the show were Cate Whitman and Hannah Butcher, two students from LaGuardia High School of the Arts.
