Urban Stages (Frances Hill, Artistic Director) is proud to ring in the holiday season with its 2nd Annual Holiday Cabaret Nights, featuring some of the most outstanding talent in the Cabaret and Theatre Worlds at Urban Stages (259 West 30th Street) every evening from the 6th through 15th of December. Holiday Cabaret Nights will help support the Urban Stages Outreach Program which brings theatre to children and families through over 200 programs to over 92 libraries in over 44 Council Districts throughout the five boroughs.
International Cabaret headliner K.T. Sullivan will kick off the Holiday Cabaret Nights performing the tunes of 1929 as a Benefit Concert for Urban Stages on Monday, December 6th. Also performing are Outer Critic Circle and Drama League Award winner Marilyn Michaels, Nightlife Award winner Lorinda Lisitza in Triumphant Baby (music by Drama Desk Nominee Joe Iconis and lyrics by Larson by Robert Maddock); Ryan Scott Oliver returns to Urban Stages with his premiere of 35MM A Multimedia Musical Exhibition directed by Daisy Prince, based on photographs by Matthew Murphy. C. Kelly Wright (nominated for an AUDELCO Award for her performance in Langston in Harlem at Urban Stages) will bring her new act to the stage. Roz White-Vincent will premiere her celebration of Pearl Bailey and Scott Coulter's will feature his show A Christmas Remembered. TE Kluzinger's concert musical Tallulah in London inspired by Tallulah Bankhead will be presented. Barry Levitt, John Bell, Marak Janas will be on the piano playing for Vicki Sander, Sue Mathys and Julie Reyburn respectively. Also bringing their excellent talents to Urban Stages are Carole Bufford, Greg Pomranz, Susan Winter with Tedd Firth and Janice Hall.
