It may normally be "Quiet Uptown" but on June 9th, members of the cast of Broadway Bares: Strip U will be bringing the excitement of Broadway Bares to the UWS for a one night only exclusive event.
Since 1992, Broadway Bares has been a brilliant and bawdy fundraiser for the Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS charity program, supported by the Broadway community and its patrons and fans throughout the world. 2017 marks Broadway Bares' 27th show, offering a one-time-only experience for attendees and a once-in-a-lifetime view of some of the hottest bodies in the world of Broadway. No need to imagine what your favorite sexy stage star looks like under his costume, you can see it in person! No need to wish your favorite diva darling would have a wardrobe malfunction, it'll happen right before your eyes!
Every year, Broadway Bares hears the cries of its fans who cannot attend its main event, who cannot afford to attend, or who didn't snap up their tickets before the event sold out. This year, they're giving you a sexy preview of the main event, just over a week before the big party! Not only does this mean one more chance to donate to an incredible cause, it also means you get the exclusive opportunity to have a sneak peek at Broadway's best looking boys and babes!
"Uptown Burlesque: An evening of solo strips benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS" is showcasing the talents and bodies of some of the Broadway Communities hottest performers. Produced by Broadway Bares Veteran, Chad Sapp, the show, much like its larger sibling, promises to scintillate and entertain you while also raising money for BC/EFA.
The event takes place at West End Lounge on the corner of 107th St and West End Ave at 10 pm on June 9, 2017.
The evening will be hosted by the incredible duo, Michelle Dowdy and Richard E. Waits and includes performances by Holly Ann Butler, Willow Grey, Adriana James, Zachary Koval, Sarah Lewandowski, Bryan Ernesto Menjivar, Marc Andrew Nuñez, Chad Sapp, Richard Scheiffer, and Katie Thrasher. Of course, no Broadway Bares event is complete without the famous "rotation," make sure to bring your cash so you can tip these hard working performers.
All proceeds go to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
Uptown Burlesque on Friday June 9th at the West End Lounge, 955 West End Ave (107th/ Broadway.) Show starts at 10 PM.
