Charles Osborne's Trumped-Up Birthday Fever Dream: And Other Alternative Facts, a new musical, will premiere Wednesday March 1st at the Laurie Beechman Theatre in New York City, in a one-night only event to raise money for the ACLU.
Directed by Broadway Sessions host Ben Cameron, Trump-Up Birthday Fever Dream stars Charles Osborne (Forbidden Broadway) as Trump, with special guest Travis Kent (Disaster!) and music direction by Matthew Stephens.
When an unfortunate birthday makeover leaves Osborne looking like the platinum-wigged President, he slips into an anxiety-riddled, all-singing, all-dancing, highly-gay Broadway fever dream. And you're invited. The Statue of Liberty sings I Will Survive, gospel sensation Melania Trump sings her life story The Color Purple, and Putin gets his Flashdance moment with a golden shower, as Osborne tries to unite the nation and convince the world he is not the Tangerine-in-Chief.
A special video preview of the show was posted on YouTube last month, featuring a scene where Hillary Clinton rewrites Hamilton to express her frustrations with the FBI's "email-gate", under the banner "Hillary Sings Hamilton". Check it out below!
"New York has been in such a strange place since the election, we really felt like we had to do something", says creator and star Charles Osborne. "And we think right now what New York needs to do most islaugh. Take action, but laugh. And that's what we're doing here, helping the ACLU, and making your belly ache."
