The Weitzenhoffer School of Musical Theatre at the University of Oklahoma welcomes Tony nominee Jeff Blumenkrantz to the Campus Corner Cabaret at 7pm on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at Othello's in Norman.

Actor/composer Jeff Blumenkrantz comes to Oklahoma having just completed a run this summer performing in the acclaimed Off-Broadway musical, "Murder for Two." He began his career as an actor, performing on Broadway in "Into the Woods" (1987), "Threepenny Opera" (1989), "Damn Yankees" (1994), "How to Succeed..." (1995) and "A Class Act" (2001). He has also appeared on film/TV in 30 Rock, The Good Wife, Ugly Betty, Joseph ... Dreamcoat, Will and Grace, Law and Order, and the Great Performances telecast of Candide in Concert.

As a composer/lyricist, Jeff received a Best Original Score Tony nomination for his songs in "Urban Cowboy," and his songs have been recorded by Audra McDonald, Sutton Foster, Megan Mullally, Rebecca Luker, Victoria Clark and Lauren Kennedy. He is a recipient of the Fred Ebb Award, the BMI Harrington Award and the Dramatists Guild Jonathan Larson Memorial Musical Theatre Fellowship and is a graduate of Northwestern University and longtime member of the BMI Musical Theatre Workshop.

The Weitzenhoffer School of Musical Theatre (producer) is named for Tony and Oliver Award winner A. Max Weitzenhoffer, a leading independent producer and theatre owner for over 30 years on Broadway and the West End. Weitzenhoffer's gift of over $5 million - the largest individual endowment of any musical theatre program in the country - puts the School at the forefront of musical theatre training in America.

The Weitzenhoffer School has been recognized by ehow as one of the top five musical theatre programs in the country.
