What is the best way for man about to turn 30 to cling to his fleeting youth? The answer: try to recreate something that was cool when he was 24! For one night only Back Stage Bistro Award winner Tom D'Angora brings his critically acclaimed super hit Divas I've Done back to NYC. Divas I've Done played sold out runs in LA, Boston, Provincetown, and 21 weeks Off-Broadway Upstairs at Studio 54 and at Theater Row.

A deliberately campy cabaret act, the show was originally described as "an outrageous evening of tributes, parodies and songs dedicated to the woman that have touched Tom and America's life!" Critics hailed him as a "star of tomorrow" (BackStage West) and "Just Jack...only ten times funnier" (Wayman Wong-Playbill.com) and the show went on to receive the 2004 Backstage Bistro Award for best musical comedy.

On Saturday, January 24th audiences will get to recount his tails of stalking Jane Eyre's Marla Schaffel, overindulging in Fran Drescher memorabilia on Ebay, seeing Maya Days in Aida 32 times, and rediscovering his love for Little Shop's Ellen Greene. Through tributes, original parodies, standards, and unforgettable stories Tom guides the audience through an outrageous evening that turns into a ridiculous contest to decide who the number one diva should be. Following every performance is a unique appearance by a Broadway diva...past divas have included Schaffel, Days, and Greene, plus Christine Pedi, Kristy Cates, Natalie Joy Johnson, Jennifer Rae Beck, and others.

Since Divas I've Done premiered Tom has gone on to work with many of the divas from the show. In 2005 he and partner, director Michael Duling, put together the Off-Broadway revue A Broadway Diva Christmas uniting the talents of Ellen Greene, Maya Days, Kathy Brier, Marla Schaffel, and Christine Pedi. He produced

Ellen Greene's critically acclaimed album In His Eyes, produced an evening with The Golden Girls' Rue McClanahan, and worked with Fran Drescher on the Hillary Clinton campaign.

Diva's I've Done not only features Tom D'Angora's talent as an energetic performer but as a skilled comedic writer of dialogue and parody as well. The show is directed by Michael Duling and features the musical direction of

Tracy Stark with Ken Benshish on drums. Featured in the show are Noel Cody, Christine Gonzales, Alex Kissel, and Sally Schwab as Princes Diana. And, you never know what special guest diva will make an appearance!

"Divas I've Done" will play The Laurie Beechman Theater on Saturday, Jan 24th at 8pm. Recreating the original ticket price there is a $12 cover plus a 2 drink minimum. The Laurie Beechman Theater is located in the West Bank Café at 407 W 42nd St (off of 9th Ave) . Reservations should be made in advance by calling 212-695-6909.
