Timothy Huang Hosts THE VIEW FROM HERE 10th Reunion Concert at 54 Below Tonight

54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club, presents award winning composer /lyricist Timothy Huang as he hosts the 10th Anniversary of his one-man musical THE VIEW FROM HERE, which premiered in 2005 at the New York Musical Theater Festival and will be revived again in 2016 at the Umbrella Group Milwaukee.

The show, with music and lyrics by Huang and book by Huang in collaboration with Elizabeth Lucas, featured Shonn Wiley (Under the Streetlamp) as an aspiring novelist moving to the big city to get his first novel published. The cast recording of THE VIEW FROM HERE received critical acclaim on Talkinbroadway.com as one of the Top Ten cast albums in 2006. And is available wherever digital music is sold.

The 10th Anniversary Concert will reunite Wiley and Huang with their original Music Director, David Epstein, and will also feature guest performers Nick Choksi, (Natasha Pierre...), Britney Coleman (Beautiful), Gen Parton Shin (Broadway in Japan), Hansel Tan (Unlocked), Alexander Sage Oyen (Outlaws), Bill Coyne (Muse Match), and Joshua Hink (New Work Wednesdays) and feature Dan Urness on trumpet, with direction by Marlo Hunter.

Wiley, Choksi, Coleman and more perform The 10th Anniversary Concert of Timothy Huang's The View From Here at 54 Below (254 West 54th Street) tonight, August 26th at 9:30pm. Timothy Huang is the award winning composer/lyricist living in New York City. His full lengths include PETER AND THE WALL (2012 Rhinebeck Retreat selection, 2015 Blue Mountain Center) COSTS OF LIVING (2015 NAMT Festival selection, 2015 New American Musical Award (B-Side Productions), Nominee: Weston New Musical Award, 2012/2014 American Harmony Prize finalist, 2014 Jerry Bock Award finalist, 2012 Fred Ebb Award finalist) DEATH AND LUCKY (MacDowell fellowship), LINES: A SONG CYCLE (NYMF 2008). And the one-person musical THE VIEW FROM HERE (Talkingbroadway.com's Top 10 Cast Albums of 2006.) His one acts include: CROSSING OVER (National Asian Artists' Project "Discover: New Musicals"), 2 TO WAKEFIELD (York Theater, NEO Spotlight Series), CHANGING TIMES (NYU Steinhardt) MISSING KARMA (Prospect Theatre). Timothy's song Everything I Do You Do, (with co-lyricist Sara Wordsworth) was recorded by Sutton Foster and Stephanie Bast for the album Over the Moon: The Broadway Lullaby Project.
