"That buzz you hear isn't coming from the sound system at the Laurie Beechman Theatre where Those Girls have the final show in their first run on Wednesday. It's just the good kind of buzz of satisfied, impressed recent customers." - Rob Lester, Nightlife Exchange

The girls of Those Girls, as well as the boys that round out their team, are long-time professionals in the music and/or theater worlds. Each has participated in award winning or nominated projects, or is a winner or nominee of MAC or Broadway World Awards. Eve, Rachel, Karen and Wendy are united in their commitment to true collaboration, excellence, singularity and fun. While there are solos, at its core, Those Girls is a harmony group with a distinctive repertoire. Some of their selections include: WALKIN' ON BROKEN GLASS, by Annie Lennox, ORDINARY DAY, a hit for Matt Bianco featuring Basia, and WEE SMALL HOURS, the Sinatra signature tune written by David Mann & Bob Hilliard. All vocal arrangements are by Those Girls, Steven Ray Watkins & Lennie Watts.

Future appearances by THOSE GIRLS will be announced soon.

BIOS:

EVE EATON - Eve made a return to cabaret after a nine year hiatus with 2015's Back to Billy: A Love Affair 30 Years in the Making, for which she was nominated for a Broadway World Award in the Best Show, Female category (directed by Lennie Watts, musical direction by Steven Ray Watkins). She is regularly involved in Lennie Watts' Arrangement Experience shows and was recently seen in the "Gone Too Soon" series at the Metropolitan Room (musical direction by Ricky Ritzel). She hails from the beautiful Pacific Northwest (Olympia, Washington) where she spent her formative years in theatre.

RACHEL HANSER - Rachel has performed in cabaret rooms, bars and clubs all over NYC, as a featured performer and as a back-up singer for shows including Steven Ray Watkins' They Used to Call It New Wave and Eve Eaton's Back to Billy. Rachel's first featured cabaret show was called 5'3" and Under, in which she played "Under". Other features include A Sign of the Times (the music of Petula Clark) and The Words and Music of Joni Mitchell. Her vocal harmony chops were well showcased as a longstanding performer in D. Jay Bradley's Annual Christmas Show, a much loved holiday tradition here in NYC for more than a decade until Jay's passing in 2007. As a member of the Poppy Seed Players, through the Kaufman Cultural Center, Rachel had lead roles in Hannah the Joyful, A Tree Grows Up and Number the Stars. Rachel is also a featured singer in the Jonathan Lewis Band, and was a founding member of the a cappella group Downtown Vocals. She can be heard on several recordings, including Jim Speake's MAC Award winning Sweet Life CD, Miranda Music's A New York Holiday, D. Jay Bradley's Don't Let Christmas Pass You By, and the Downtown Vocals CD, Tracks.

Karen Mack - Karen is a seven-time MAC Award winner for vocal performance and songwriting, as well as for her vocal harmony work for 12+ years with talented singer/songwriter Michael Holland as half of the pro vocal duo that brought the acclaimed & ridiculous retro-pop series "Gashole!" to the world.LGNY says "in addition to her sense of humor, she has the kind of voice one longs to hear...her flawless placement, appealing style and dead on performance are electrifying...she'll give you chills she's that good!" and The Village Voice echoes "Mack can sock anything with a rock beat out of the ballpark." She was featured in the UK premier of "Brenda Bly, Teen Detective," and "Build Me A Bridge - The Music of Miller and Hammonds" at the Bridewell Theatre in London's West End. Karen was part of the 25th Anniversary Gala for the NY Pops at Carnegie Hall, and her appearances include The Town Hall, Symphony Space, B.B. King's, The Bottom Line, The Fez, The Bitter End, Caroline's, The Supper Club, The Plush Room (San Francisco). Always drawn to rich and complex vocal harmony, she spent eight years with Doo•Wa•Zoo, a multi-award winning contemporary a cappella quintet, and she was also part of the vocal ensemble of D. Jay Bradley's annual NYC Christmas spectacular alongside fellow "Girl" Rachel Hanser.

WENDY RUSSELL - A native New Yorker, Wendy has performed as a jazz & cabaret vocalist at clubs in and around NYC including the Allen Room at Jazz at Lincoln Center, The Hudson Theater, Don't Tell Mama, The Duplex, and The Metropolitan Room. Working with Lennie Watts (director) and Steven Ray Watkins (musical director), her highly acclaimed solo show, "Where Have I Been All My Life," garnered her a 2016 MAC Award nomination in the Best Female Vocalist category. She's been a featured soloist in the First Acoustics Concert series with vibraphonist Stefan Bauer. Wendy started her singing career as a soloist in the Riverside Church's Children's Antiphonal Choir and as a soloist for Holt Rinehart & Winston/Triton Records Exploring Music K-12 series of Albums. Wendy is a singer, songwriter, arranger, teacher and a sought after back-up vocalist.
