Celebrate the end of Theatre Exile's 2011-2012 season with all of the people who have made it possible, a night full of all the rambunctious humor and virtuosic performances that audiences have come to expect from Exile over the years. Theatre Exile presents their annual fundraising Cabaret of the Exiled, an evening of performances starring the actors and artists who have graced Exile stages over the last 15 years, with a few special guest stars and surprise acts, all in support of Theatre Exile's work. On Thursday, June 7th, at Christ Church Neighborhood House, Exile will start the summer off right, with live music, stand up comedy and silent auction packages.
The event will be hosted by Pearce Bunting of Boardwalk Empire Fame, who thrilled Philadelphia audiences in his recent performance as Carmichael in Theatre Exile's critically acclaimed A Behanding in Spokane. The evening will also feature the stand up comedy of Senator Arlen Specter and sports radio icon Joe Conklin, man of a thousand voices. The evening will include musical interludes from the always outrageous Johnny Showcase performing with Roomy Kitchen.
Amy Smith will be gracing the stage with her compelling performance art. Exile favorites like Sam Henderson and Mary Tuonemen delight you with their wacky stylings. Expect sultry surprises from the ever-sexy Christie Parker, and a variety of musical treats from Chris Colucci, and the newest member of our fold, the hysterical Reuben Mitchell, who dazzled audiences as Toby in A Behanding in Spokane.
With tickets and passes to the 2012-2013 season for shows from theaters and organizations all over Philadelphia, food from wonderful companies like Ippolitos, The High Note Café, Bitars, FrancoLuigis, and silent auction packages with services and experiences like the opportunity to help create a mural with mural artist Eric Okdeh, Donna Scott Photo Facial, A 12th Street Gym membership, Sedgeway Tours, and prizes like four Phillies Tickets with seats in the Hall of Fame Club, Adventure Aquarium passes, spa packages, and locally made items, and goodies from Philadelphia's Magic Gardens, there is truly something for everyone.
In addition to the silent auction items, the theatre will be raffling off four separate dinners with actors from its 2011-2012 season, giving audiences the chance to get up close and personal with their favorite Exile stars and spend an evening with one of their favorite story-tellers.
