ZANNA, DON'T! CLASS REUNION, June 30 at 7PM & 9:30PM:

The 2003 cult favorite musical Zanna, Don't! returns to New York for one night only for a very special concert reuniting the original Off-Broadway cast and benefiting the Hetrick-Martin Institute. This musical fairy tale is set in a world where gay is the norm, the chess team is cool, and the football players are dorks. When the students put on an original musical about the hot-button issue of straights in the military (because if musical theater won't address important political issues, what will?), the opposite-sex leads realize their true feelings for each other and all hell breaks loose in the quiet town of Heartsville. It's up to magical matchmaker Zanna to put things right and bring love to all - including himself! The concert will feature original Off-Broadway cast members Anika Larsen, Darius Nichols, Amanda Ryan Paige, Gregory Treco, Enrico Rodriguez, Robb Sapp, Shelley Thomas and Dana Steer. Presented by Adam Grosswirth and Jonathan Tessero (who will also music direct), and directed by Devenand Janki, all members of the original production staff. $35-45 cover charge. $25 food & beverage minimum.

CHUCK COOPER, July 1 at 7PM:

Tony Award winner Chuck Cooper (The Life; Caroline, or Change; Act One) brings his exciting new show to 54 Below. Jazz Poetry brings together an impressive array of composers who have set to music the poems of Langston Hughes. Chuck will sing you "The Blues of Langston Hughes" in an evening of classic poems set to thrilling new music. Directed by Lance Roberts and Musical Direction by James Sampliner. $30-40 cover charge. $25 food & beverage minimum.

THE SKIVVIES, July 1 at 9:30PM:

This "musically thrilling" undie-rock, comedy-pop duo don't just strip down their musical arrangements, they literally strip down to their underwear to perform their distinctive mashups and eccentric originals for cello and ukulele, with touches of glockenspiel, melodica, and a surprising array of under-used instruments. Award-winning singer-actors Lauren Molina (Marry Me a Little, Sweeney Todd, Rock of Ages) and Nick Cearley (All Shook Up) became YouTube sensations as The Skivvies, with living room videos that displayed their powerful harmonies as well as their powerful abs. Those clips led to live shows that The Wall Street Journal called "smart, sophisticated...ingenious," and Out Magazine, "The Skivvies have managed to carve out a niche that we never knew needed to exist: part Weird Al- parody and part sexy burlesque...and unusual explosion of satire and sultry." They also have a single and music video directed by Augusten Burroughs, bestselling author of Running With Scissors. They will be joined by special guest stars who will strip down and rock out. Expect a hilarious evening of genre-hopping pop perfection. Guest: Malcolm Gets, Sophie B. Hawkins, Jenny Lee Stern, Krysta Rodriguez, Wesley Taylor, Mitch Jarvis, Barrett Foa and Heather Matarazzo. $30-40 cover charge. $25 food & beverage minimum.

ARLO HILL: THE SONGS AND STORIES OF FRANK LOESSER, July 2 at 7PM:

Arlo Hill (Bway: The Phantom of the Opera; Encores!: The Most Happy Fella), a winner of the 2014 Lotte Lenya Competition, shares the little-known songs and stories of Frank Loesser. I've Been In Love Before goes behind the scenes with the man who wrote Guys & Dolls, How to Succeed in Business, and much, much more. A brash college dropout journeys from the back rooms of the Tin Pan Alley to the silver screen of Hollywood to the Great White Way - and through two marriages, five Broadway shows, and over 700 songs of life and love. Come to discover the joys of Loesser's music, and to explore the little-known gems that are too rarely in the limelight. Music direction by Rick Hip-Flores. Special appearances by members of the cast of The Most Happy Fella at Encores! $25-35 cover charge. $25 food & beverage minimum.
