The Persian Room to Welcome John Lariviere

The Persian Room welcomes cabaret & jazz singer John Lariviere in his tribute to Johnny Mercer entitled Moon River on June 2, at 8:00 pm. John Lariviere regularly headlines throughout Southeast Florida performing at local theatres and clubs. He has sung live on the radio on WXEL (91.3FM) and on TV on the Live With Iris Acker Show, and his voice can be heard in leading roles in the original cast albums of Fun and Games and Die Ammsterdamerung.

John has appeared in sold-out performances of his one-man show The Sinatra Songbook, and received critical acclaim for his tribute to the music of Johnny Mercer, Moon River. Jeffrey Bruce of Cabaret Scenes Magazine says: "South Florida's John Lariviere is a young singer of the "old school." He croons, he belts, he has a voice of the gods and his hour show at the Club Plaza Cabaret is devoted to the Songs of Johnny Mercer, and it is a marriage made in musical heaven."

His cabaret show honoring the prolific composer/lyricist Johnny Mercer features such songs as "Blues InThe Night", "Autumn Leaves", "Satin Doll", "Skylark", "That Old Black Magic", "Laura", "Something's Gotta Give", "Come Rain Or Come Shine", "Accentuate The Positive", and many more!

The Persian Room is Central Florida's newest premier entertainment venue conveniently located inside Ali Baba House of Kabob on 434 in Longwood, Florida. We offer a diverse range of live entertainment on a regular basis. The Persian Room presents Cabaret Acts, Jazz Artists, Comedians and of course our Friday and Saturday night Belly Dancers .The venue is also available for special events and private bookings.

Just like the shows that we present, The Persian Room is unique. An intimate setting with just 130 seats The Persian Room offers a full menu of exotic Mediterranean and Middle Eastern foods, special "show time" tapas, beer, wine, soda, coffees, teas and desserts. Come for a dinner/show package or show only. A private VIP room is also available for up to 20 people with full view of the stage.
