Broadway's newest intimate concert venue - has announced the solo debut of Mykal Kilgore, the celebrated vocalist from The Wiz Live! on NBC TV, Postmodern Jukebox, Motown on Broadway and more, for a two night concert engagement Friday, March 9 at 9:30 PM and Saturday, March 10 at 7:00 PM. These shows will feature original music from Mykal's upcoming album and covers of some of music's most heralded pop favorites with a Kilgore twist. After performances for "The View," the Mayor of New York, and Brooklyn Nets, these live intimate shows powerfully return Kilgore to the concert stage.
MYKAL KILGORE became a national viral sensation when his "Reclaiming My Time - Gospel Remix" was featured on "The View," National Public Radio and outlets around the world. His R&B, jazz and pop performances with Postmodern Jukebox have garnered millions of hits on YouTube. Kilgore was most recently seen on Broadway in Motown the Musical. Other theater credits include The Wiz Live! (NBC-TV) Hair (Broadway), Freckleface Strawberry (Off-Broadway), The Book of Mormon (First National Tour) and Marley (World Premiere). Mykal has performed to sold-out audiences at Joe's Pub, Roseland Ballroom, Birdland, The Laurie Beechman Theatre, and The Kennedy Center. He has been featured on the album #LoVE by Lyons and Pakchar, "Living in A Dark World" by Slow Knights, Scott Alan Live and on "Make Me Believe in Hope" by Bright Light Bright Light. Kilgore is a classical music graduate from Florida State University.
