The Green Room 42 Presents #LOVESTORY A New Musical  Image

The Green Room 42 presents #LoveStory A New Musical as part of their New Works Series on Thursday, February 7th at 9:30pm. In an unforgettable reimagining of the 2015 Fringe Festival Favorite, extended by popular demand, join us on a journey of finding #love in the Twenty First Century!

#LoveStory is an exciting new pop/rock musical that tells the tale of one hopeless romantic 20-something as she sets out to find love through a maze of hookup culture, online dating, social media, and the discovery of her own true desires. #LoveStory was originally conceived and written by Bethany Mayes and Mark Oleszko. The concert is musically directed by composer, Mark Oleszko and directed by Todd Ritch.

The cast features Melanie Burg, Brian Krinsky, Brennyn Lark, Tara Llewellyn, Nathan Richardson, and Gerardo Vallejo.

#LoveStory A New Musical will be performed on Thursday, February 7th at 9:30 at The Green Room 42 (570 Tenth Avenue at 42nd Street, on the fourth floor of YOTEL). The cover charge ranges from $20 to $60. There is no food and drink minimum. For tickets please visit www.onfournyc.com

MORE ABOUT THE CAST AND CREATIVE TEAM

Tara Llewellyn (Zoe) is a Connecticut native and Manhattan actress, musician, dresser and designer. She originated the role of Zoe Tiller in #LoveStory in its first full production at the NYC Fringe Festival in 2015, and is thrilled to bring her back to life again four years later. Tara has also performed in many developmental musicals such as Tonya and Nancy: The Rock Opera, The Most Miserable Christmas Tree, Dex! A Killer Musical, Facings, and more. Other favorite New York credits include Grease, I Love A Piano, Almost, Maine, and her one-woman show Seams and Songs. Tara also spends her time as a freelance Wardrobe Supervisor and Dresser, and is currently dressing the Broadway production of Pretty Woman at the Nederlander Theater. @tarallew

Brennyn Lark (Katie) comes directly from London's West End where she played Deena Jones in Dreamgirls. She was most recently on Broadway as Eponine in Les Miserables. Regional: Tzipporah in The Prince of Egypt (World Premiere); Mary Magdalene in Jesus Christ Superstar. She recently had the distinct honor of working with Gospel/R&B legend BeBe Winans on the development of his new musical Born for This. Brennyn's new single "Tip Toe" is currently available on iTunes. @brennynlark

Nathan Richardson (Evan) is a New York based actor, singer, and guitarist. Recent roles include: Jean-Michel (La Cage Aux Folles), Parker (Freaky Friday), Hanschen (Spring Awakening), and Matthew (Altar Boyz). Training: Boston College, B.A., Boston Conservatory, M.F.A. Gerardo Vallejo is a Texas native and classically trained actor, singer, and director. He most recently headlined his own show 'A Gentleman In New York' at 54 Below. He also played the role of Roger in the 25th anniversary production of 'A New Brain' at the Gallery Players. He is a member of the New York City Essential Voices USA Choir, which regularly performs with the New York Pops at Carnegie Hall. His favorite stage credits include: You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown (Title Role), The Secret Garden (Dickon), Guys & Dolls, and In The Heights. He is a proud activist involved with many non-profit organizations in New York City, including: New York Cares, The Anti-Defamation League of New York, The Gay Men's Health Crisis, Impulse NYC, and Arts for All.

Todd Ritch (Director) is thrilled to be bringing this story back to audiences. He directed and helped create #LoveStory in its first incarnation at the NYC Fringe Festival. Most recently he toured North America and Australia as Romeo in PJ MASKS LIVE! He is featured on the Original Cast Recording. NYC: The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Leaf Coneybear, NY Innovative Theatre Award Winner - Best Actor in a Featured Role). Regional: Spring Awakening (Ernst, Regional Premiere), Avenue Q (Princeton/Rod), and Ragtime (Younger Brother, Westchester Bway Theatre). He studied at Circle In The Square Theatre School and CAP 21. Mark Oleszko (Composer, Musical Director) is a New York City-based music director, educator, pianist, and composer. His work #LoveStory was previously developed in concert settings at the David Rubenstein Atrium at Lincoln Center as well as The Tank. In 2015, #LoveStory was fully-staged in the NYC International Fringe Festival, playing at Theatre 80 St. Mark's. As a music director and pianist, his performance experience extends from the Fringe Festival to several productions with the New York Musical Theatre Festival and performances at The United Nations, The Apollo Theatre, and Highline Ballroom (Broadway Sings series). Additionally, he won an award from The Fresh Fruit Festival for Best Music Direction in 2017 for the original musical La Maupin. Mark is also a full-time music teacher with the NYC Department of Education at Repertory Company High School for Theatre Arts in Times Square.
