In 1957, teens Phil and Don Everly supercharged the vocal sound of Rock'n'Roll with the sparkling harmonies that influenced The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, The Beach Boys, The Hollies, and The Bee Gees.
To celebrate the 60th anniversary of The Everly Brothers' smashes "Bye Bye Love" and "Wake Up Little Susie", acclaimed NYC singer-songwriters and Everly devotees Sean Altman (Rockapella founder, Carmen Sandiego theme song co-composer with David Yazbek, Jewmongous creator) & Jack Skuller (winner of The Songwriters' Hall of Fame's Holly Prize in song-writing) make their Feinstein's 54 Below debut on Tuesday May 9th, 9:30pm, presenting in concert The Everly Set: Sean Altman & Jack Skuller Approximate The Everly Brothers, featuring Bye Bye Love, Wake Up Little Susie, Cathy's Clown, All I Have To Do Is Dream, When Will I Be Loved, Crying In The Rain, Love Hurts, Bird Dog, Claudette, Walk Right Back, and more hits and rarities.
Altman and just-turned-21 Skuller met on stage at the famed NYC tribute series "The Loser's Lounge" in 2011 when Jack was just 14. Their January-December musical bromance will be backed by the crackerjack rhythm section of upright bassist Jeremy Chatzky and cajonist Michael Hunter.
