The Show Goes On Productions (TSGO) will present an Off-Broadway sized club venue dedicated to both live music and theatre: THE HYBRID. The LAUNCH PARTY will be tonight, February 1st, from 6 - 10pm, followed by a dance party upstairs in the Culture Club. Musical guests include Maximus England Shaban, the dudes from Bromance, the Dudesical, and Mimi Cohen from A Celebration of Laura Nyro - To Carry On. A surprise host is to be announced. The Hybrid is located at 22 W. 39th Street, between 5th & 6th Ave., with parking across the street. Doors open at 6pm and performances will begin at 7:30pm. Tickets are $10 and available at www.ShowGoesOnProductions.com, 646-380-8749.

TSGO presents New York City's premiere (and only) venue dedicated to both live music and theatre. A cross between a cabaret club and traditional Off-Broadway theatre, The Hybrid is a club that hosts concerts, theatrical runs, and events. With a 150 seating capacity and 400 standing capacity, the venue fills a hole in the Off-Broadway market for an intimate and flexible space with several platforms that move into multiple configurations. The venue comfortably accommodates seating as well as standing audiences, with a full service bar in the same room as the stage. Theatre will be presented with non-traditional performance schedules, sharing the space and cross-promoting with concerts, music events, and more. The LAUNCH PARTY will show off the new venue is all its splendor, including showcasing the sounds of multiple performances.

Maximus England Shaban is TSGO's developing artist and will make his solo performance debut at the Launch Party. After playing soccer for the Manchester U18, Maximus left the sport to pursue music. After a brief stint recording and performing with a pop-punk band, he now focuses on his own sound: a unique blend of alternative/pop-rock with an indie touch of...Maximus. He has written over a dozen songs and plans to release singles over the next year in conjunction with live performances around the city.

From the brilliant minds of Ewalt and Walker comes Bromance the Dudesical, fresh off their second sold-out concert at Joe's Pub. Like an awesome buddy movie come to life, BROMANCE reveals a world of Beer, Brotherhood, and Brocabulary. Directed by Matt Cowart.

Mimi Cohen is an earthy downtown Cabaret diva, is a soulful, stylized singer and performer. A native New Yorker, Mimi's artistry is borne of a Manhattan sensibility. She is warm and urban, street smart and maternal. Mimi has sung at countless cabarets and clubs. She participated in a landmark group performance, The Sisters of the Sixties, hosted by Darlene Love featuring such legends as Mary Wilson of The Supremes, BEverly Lee of the Shirelles, Leslie Gore, and Vicki Sue Robinson. Mimi's show A Celebration of Laura Nyro - To Carry On will open for a weekly run at The Hybrid in March.
