Their foot-stomping sassy take on jazz standards and swinging mood-uplifting originals have been heard lately in the concert halls of New York, Los Angeles, Orlando, Storrs (CT), Boston, Tel Aviv (Israel), and more! Svetlana Shmulyian (www.svetlanajazz.com) is a jazz vocalist and band leader from New York. Svetlana headlined many sold-out NYC shows (Blue Note, BBKings, Joe's Pub, Iridium, Zinc), toured US and Internationally, has appeared on WPIX 11 Morning News, US & Russian Travel Channel, Virgin Atlantic TV, Israel's i24 TV, etc - and has been featured in many US and international music and lifestyle publications. Svetlana's debut record, Night at The Speakeasy, has premiered among "most added" on JazzWeek and CMJ radio charts and is poised by the reviewers to be on the "best of 2016" lists.
James Williams is a vocalist and brass instrumentalist who specializes in the trumpet and tuba. He co-founded The New Orleans Swamp Donkeys Traditional Jass Band in October 2012, and currently plays and sings as well with Irvin Mayfield and The New Orleans Jazz Orchestra. He finds great inspiration in the works of the immortal Louis Armstrong. James resides in the Treme neighborhood of New Orleans, LA.
