Suzanne Carrico, the 2008 MAC Award Winner for "Outstanding Debut," will return to the Metropolitan Room with THE FRIENDLIEST THING, for three performances only, Wednesday, July 2nd & 9th & Saturday, July 5th all shows at 7:30pm. The show, directed by Mary Cleere Haran, features Musical Director Tedd Firth on piano (Steven Ray Watkins on 7/5) & Steve Doyle on bass. THE FRIENDLIEST THING, an evening of provocative music from The Great American Songbook of the past & present, is devoted to matters of a most intimate nature.

A Michigan native, Suzanne has been considered one of New York's rising young opera singers, performing as a Young Artist Fellow at the Caramoor Bel Canto Festival with the Orchestra of St. Luke's. She holds a Bachelor of Music from Webster University College of Fine Arts in St. Louis, where she was awarded the Dysart Family Prize from the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions & a Masters of Music Degree from Manhattan School of Music. Suzanne attended the Sundance Institute with the Mabel Mercer Foundation, working with Margaret Whiting, Melissa Manchester, Charles Strouse, Michael Rupert, Jimmy Webb, Billy Stritch & Don Rebic, which inspired her to return to her roots in Musical Theatre & the Great American Song in her recent MAC Award winning show THE ART OF THE CAHN, Songs from The Sammy Cahn Songbook.

Tickets are $20 cover/$15 minimum. For reservations call (212) 206-0440.
