Up and coming singer SUZANNE CARRICO, the 2008 MAC Award Nominee for "Outstanding Debut," will return to the Metropolitan Room with her new show THE FRIENDLIEST THING, for two special performances, Mondays, May 26th & June 2nd, at 7pm. The show, directed by Mary Cleere Haran, features Musical Director Tedd Firth on piano & Steve Doyle on bass.
THE FRIENDLIEST THING, an evening of provocative music from The Great American Songbook of the past & present, is devoted to matters of a most intimate nature.
A Michigan native, Suzanne has been considered one of New York's rising young opera singers, performing as a Young Artist Fellow at the Caramoor Bel Canto Festival with the Orchestra of St. Luke's. She holds a Bachelor of Music from Webster University College of Fine Arts in St. Louis, where she was awarded the Dysart Family Prize from the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions & a Masters of Music Degree from Manhattan School of Music. Suzanne attended the Sundance Institute with the Mabel Mercer Foundation, working with

Don Rebic, which inspired her to return to her roots in Musical Theatre & the Great American Song in her recent MAC Award nominated show THE ART OF THE CAHN, Songs from The Sammy Cahn Songbook. On stage, some of her favorite roles have been Katherine, Taming of the Shrew; Joy, Cinderella; Mabel, Pirates of Penzance & Barbarina, Le Nozze di Figaro.
