Summer Cabaret Series Announced For New Generation Theater Company

New Generation Theater Company brings back its summer cabaret series at The Duplex Cabaret Theater with a stellar line up, after a successful 2017 season. All productions will play at The Duplex Cabaret Theatre, located at 61 Christopher Street, New York City. Doors open 30 minutes prior to curtain. Tickets are $15 pre-sale and $20 at the door. 2 drink minimum, ages 21+.

"Lights...Camera...BROADWAY!" will open New Generation Theater Company's 2018 summer season. This cabaret features songs made famous by productions that share both film and stage adaptations. "I absolutely love that Broadway has transferred several films to the stage in recent years," says Michael Restaino, Artistic Director at New Generation Theater Company. "Although I am a colossal fan of new and original work, these film adaptations give the non-theatrical community a chance to recognize and relate to our art form." "Lights...Camera...BROADWAY!" features music from 9 to 5, Footloose, Once, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, The Greatest Showman, Sunset Boulevard and more! "Lights...Camera...BROADWAY!" will play Saturday, July 14th at 9:30pm.

After last summer's SOLD-OUT production of an Adele tribute concert, "Rumour Has It," the company is bringing back the Featured Artist slot in 2018's summer series. "Sorry, NOT SORRY," a tribute to the Grammy-nominated and multi-platinum singer, songwriter and actress, Demi Lovato. "Sorry, NOT SORRY" will play Saturday, July 27th at 9:30pm.

Closing out the summer season on , New Generation Theater Company presents "Top Hat, White Tie and Tails," an American Songbook Cabaret. This production features selections from the songbook that is the canon of the most important and influential American popular songs and jazz standards from the early 20th century. The performance will feature songs made famous by composers such as Jerome Kern, Irving Berlin, George Gershwin, Richard Rogers and more. "For Sentimental Reasons" this is one show this summer that will have you singing along to every line!
