Steven Ferezy And Byron St. Cyr Present SONDHEIM AND THE CITY Image

Steven Ferezy and Byron St. Cyr return to The Duplex stage together in Sondheim and the City on Monday March 19th at 9:30pm.

Once upon a time, two Broadway hopefuls moved to an island in the middle of the river on a Sunday. Byron, from New Orleans and ready for some zsa zsa zsu, and Steven from the land of perpetual sun. In a city riddled with emotional landmines, they couldn't help but wonder, "What would Stephen Sondheim say?" Join them as they journey into the concrete woods of Manhattan vis a vis the tales of Carrie, Miranda, Samantha, and Charlotte.

Being a child of New Orleans, music has always been a part of Byron's everyday life. After years of playing jazz saxophone he made the leap into musical theatre and discovered another side of his voice while studying at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. During that time he began digging into classical voice, reveling in the worlds of Verdi and Puccini. Soon after graduating he began his theatrical career touring the country in Miss Saigon and My Fair Lady, and in regional productions including but not limited to Beauty and the Beast, and Ragtime. He's been lucky to share the stage with legends such as Melba Moore, Stephanie Mills, and Chita Rivera. After taking a break from the stage, his immense love for music brought him to the cabaret stage with his solo shows, Byron St. Cyr: Old French Whore and 4600 Mithra: My New Orleans, which earned him a 2018 MAC Award nomination.

Steven Ferezy is thrilled to be back at The Duplex with his second original piece! Over the last decade, Steven has lent his talents to countless benefits, concerts, and readings. Favorite regional credits include: A Chorus Line, Funny Girl, Beauty and the Beast, and Fiddler on the Roof.

Sondheim and the City features memorable moments from the television phenomenon, Sex and the City paired with the Stephen Sondheim song catalogue.
