Backstage Bistro and MAC Award winner Stacy Sullivan will headline a brand new late night music series opening this Spring at the famed Café Carlyle. On March 1st and 2nd, and again on May 2nd, 3rd and 4th, Sullivan will perform music from her new album, "It's a Good Day/A Tribute to Miss Peggy Lee."
"It's a Good Day/ A Tribute to Miss Peggy Lee" has gained critical acclaim as an interpretive exploration of the extraordinary music and personal struggles of a singer, composer, and actress whose remarkable career spanned over six decades, influencing jazz and popular-music culture worldwide. Ms. Sullivan has just returned from a sold-out engagement at the London club, The Crazy Coqs. Stacy Sullivan has appeared in venues across the country from Jazz at Lincoln Center to the Ford Theatre in Hollywood, and has recorded five albums for the LML Music label. Her latest, "It's a Good Day," features Jon Weber, Steve Doyle, and Bucky Pizzarelli. Live performances include eight Mabel Mercer Foundation Cabaret Conventions in New York and San Francisco, the Pasadena Pops Orchestra with John Raitt, Knoxville Symphony with KT Sullivan, and "Lyrics and Lyricists" at the 92nd Street Y with Andrea Marcovicci.Photo Credit: Stephen Sorokoff
