The Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs has announced the 4th Annual "MAC presents THEY WRITE THE SONGS." The show will be held Sunday, November 15th at 4pm in the Engelman Recital Hall at the Baruch Performing Arts Center (Lexington Avenue at 25th Street).
At this annual show devoted to celebrating songwriters, MAC is pleased to present the work both of well-established songwriters, and those who are on the rise and creating great new work.
The songwriters selected to present their songs at this year's show are John Bucchino, Joe Kinosian & Kellen Blair, Lina Koutrakos, Tim Di Pasqua, Bill Zeffiro, and Nathan Chang. MAC will also present the two songs that won MAC Awards this year. They are "Simply" by Bruce Kimmel, and "The Brit Song" by Amy Wolk & William TN Hall. The host for the evening will be Grammy award winning songwriter Julie Gold. Steven Ray Watkins will be the musical director.
Scheduled to perform at the show are: Joshua Dixon, Shana Farr, Rick Jensen, Stephanie Kurtzuba, Lauren Stafford, Morgan Weed, Amy Beth Williams, Amy Wolk, Nathan Chang, Tim Di Pasqua, Lina Koutrakos, and John Bucchino.
In addition, at this show MAC will announce this year's recipients of the two annual songwriting awards presented by MAC each year - the Dottie Burman award, and the John Wallowitch award. Songs written by these recipients will also be performed at the show.
There will be a reception at the theater immediately following the performance for all ticket holders, songwriters and performers at no additional charge.
