SING! SING! SING!, the Great American Songbook Sing-In, assembles some of the greatest songs by composer-lyricist Frank Loesser in LOESSER IS MORE! on Tuesday, May 10 at 7 p.m. at The Triad in New York City.
A prolific composer of pop hits and for Hollywood films, Loesser's full genius flowered with his scores for "Guys and Dolls," "The Most Happy Fella," and "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying." In addition to great tunes from these shows, other Loesser hits like "They're Either Too Young Or Too Old," "I Hear Music," "Inchworm," and "I Don't Want to Walk Without You, Baby" will be featured.
Anne Phillips (piano, in keys suitable for men and women, and playing the melody) and Michael Shepley (anecdotes and chronology) don't perform for the audience ... they encourage the audience members to sing together. Lyrics are provided.
