To remember Shenandoah University alumnus Ira Lindberg Harris '10 on the two-year anniversary of his untimely death, Shenandoah Conservatory alumni in New York City are hosting the first-ever Shenandoah Alumni Cabaret to be presented at 54 Below (254 W. 54th St., New York City, N.Y.) tonight, Feb. 27, at 11:30 p.m.
Broadway's Joey Chancey (Annie), Joy Dewing (Soul Doctor, Wonderland), Aaron Galligan-Stierle (The Phantom of the Opera, Ragtime), Sara King (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, Hair), Garrett Long (Bonnie & Clyde, South Pacific), Darius Nichols (Hair, The Book of Mormon), Kathy Voytko (The Pirate Queen, The Frogs), Anthony Wayne (Pippin, Anything Goes), Jason Wooten (Jekyll & Hyde, Hair) and Laura Woyasz (Wicked) will perform, along with other alumni of the Shenandoah Conservatory.
A portion of the proceeds from the show will go to benefit the Ira Lindberg Harris Scholarship for musical theatre at Shenandoah University. The cover charge is $10 ($5 of which goes to the scholarship fund), and there is a two drink minimum.
