With Bad to the Bone up and running and Woodstock soon to be, Shadowbox producers have turned their attention to their annual holiday shows: Holiday Hoopla XVIII.
Shadowbox's longest running annual theme, Holiday Hoopla, has become a central Ohio Christmas tradition. The series features full of sketch comedy, seasonal tunes from house band BillWho?, and the musical send-up The Santa Babies.
This year's production features a mixed bag of audience-favorite sketches and songs from Christmas' past, as well as brand-new, original comedy. The Santa Babies top things off with their always surprising / sexy musical-comedy routine.
Holiday Hoopla XVIII opens Thursday, November 19th and runs Tuesdays Fridays at 7:30, Saturdays at 7:30 and 10:30 and Sundays at 2:30 and 7:00 through January 2nd. (No shows November 22 26, December 24 25). Reservations are $30 / $20 for students, seniors, and active military for select shows.
The Holiday Lunchbox: As the companion to Holiday Hoopla, The Holiday Lunchbox is a 45-minute stocking-stuffing matinee of sketches and holiday music from the Shadowbox Hoopla annals.
The Holiday Lunchbox is also home to The Snow Bunnies, a sexy-funny trio in the spirit of The Santa Babies, but with their own, unique spin.
The Holiday Lunchbox opens Wednesday, December 2nd and runs every Wednesday Friday at noon until December 23rd. Reservations are $10.
The Shadowbox Shindig is the best New Year's Eve party in town is at Shadowbox! A dinner banquet, champagne toast and two+ hours of dancing to Shadowbox house band BillWho? provide the elements to ring in 2010.
The Shadowbox Shindig will begin at 9:00 PM on December 31st. Reservations are $60 (includes dinner banquet and champagne toast).
