Bringing together five artists from New York City's downtown scene, the Secret Variety Society is formed for a monthly residency at Pangea, the intimate supper club in the heart of the East Village, for an evening of satirical, surreal and sublime entertainment.

Cast Bios
A native New Yorker who has has lived and performed for many years in Vienna, Munich, Hamburg and Berlin, Jenny Lee Mitchell is a performance artist and satirist. An alumni of the Experimental Theater Wing at NYU, she has performed in operetta, musical theater and cabaret, performing Off-Broadway and with many companies who present works based in clown, music, cabaret and devised theater styles. Magic Brian has been entertaining young and old with his unique brand of comedy-magic and sideshow for over 20 years. He has taken his show around the world, performing in 18 countries and more than 50 cities. He has appeared on the Late Show With David Letterman, VH1, Good Day New York and has performed at the Edinburgh and Adelaide Fringe Festivals and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Born in Russia, Miss Ekaterina is a renowned contortionist and aerialist resident in New York City. Besides performing with circus and entertainment companies like Cirque Musica, Bindlestiff Family Cirkus, USO and Circus Una Motorcycle Thrillshow, she has also appeared in live art installations and films of Matthew Barney, Julie Taymor and Joe Coleman, shar ed the stage with Jack Black, and performed as a knife-thrower's Target Girl on a Guinness Book of Records Tour. Sabrina Chap is a Brooklyn based songwriter, composer and performer with classical piano skills, the ballad lyrics of Tom Waits, the onstage antics of Phyllis Diller and the voice of a whiskey angel. With two solo albums and several international tours to her credit, her sets are a ragtime stompin' good time, full of laughs, heartbreaks, and just plain good songwriting. Born and raised in the United Kingdom, Matt Roper is a comedian, writer and neo-vaudevillian who made his NYC theater debut portraying Chico Marx, in I'll Say She Is: The Lost Marx Brothers Musical, which played to great acclaim at the Connelly Theater earlier this year. He is perhaps best known for his alter-ego Wilfredo, a powerhouse comedy creation which has taken him all over the world, from Buenos Aires to Bangkok and from Cape Town to Melbourne. He regularly appears late-night under the guise of characters at the Slipper Room - Manhattan's Palace of Varieties - in the Lower East Side. "Weird, intimate and wonderful." - The Guardian
