Sarah Ferro: Autumn in New York

Sarah Ferro returns to the New York cabaret scene with her new show Autumn in New York, featuring pianist Heather Hamilton. From Standards to Weimer to Folk, Sarah brings a colorful palette of songs from cherished songwriters such as Kander & Ebb, Sammy Cahn, Kurt Weill and Harry Chapin, during her favorite time of year.

Sarah Ferro has performed throughout the US with productions such as Berlin To Broadway: The Music of Kurt Weill, Jesus Christ Superstar, Harry Chapin's America and Come Fly With Me: The Music of Sammy Cahn directed by Paul Blake, Mr. Cahn's original director. New York credits include: Jessie in In Circles with Music by Al Carmines and Text by Gertrude Stein and I'm Going to Love You Forever, a biopic play on the songwriter/pianist Wally Harper, singing the role of Barbara Cook. Sarah has performed her one-woman cabaret show for Jean Anne Ryan Productions on the high seas and at the famed Stonewall Inn, where she holds the esteemed title of Stonewall Sensation. Most recently she has performed her solo show in Connecticut at the Fairfield Theater Company, The Outerspace and Westport Country Playhouse. Sarah is a graduate of the University of Miami Frost School of Music and a proud member of Actors' Equity Association.

Heather A. Hamilton is a native of Fairfield, CT, and has performed as a pianist, organist, and conductor throughout the United States and Europe. Heather received a Master of Music in Solo Piano Performance from Manhattan School of Music, where she then earned a second Master's as first pianist in the Orchestral Performance Program studying under Harriet Wingreen, pianist with the New York Philharmonic. Hamilton was a conducting student at Tanglewood working under the direction of Leonard Bernstein, Gustav Meier, Seiji Ozawa and others and made her conducting debut in Varna, Bulgaria. Last spring she earned a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Bridgeport.
