Joey Nova Presents brings you SEXTACULAR! SEXTACULAR!, a re-imagining of the cabaret shows from turn-of-the-century France, but with a modern New York City rock n roll edge. Charmingly egocentric host Joey Nova (Cutie Patooties, Precious) is joined by co-host Erika Smith (Dracula, Screen Sirens) as his absinthe-conjured sidekick, "The Green Fairy", as they try to petition the government for a new holiday celebrating SEX! When prudish-but-provocative government liaison Prudence Rottoncrotch (played by Miss Pin Up Coney Island 2008, Kristen Lee from Cherry Pop!) is sent in to hear their proposal, Joey and The Green Fairy argue their case by seducing her with twenty titillating acts by some of the hottest performers in theatre, burlesque, and cabaret. Featuring dazzling light & fire shows, astounding aerial acts, dynamic acrobatics, tantalizing burlesque performances, glam rock cabaret, punk rock cancan girls and rocket-fueled glam rock band Starbolt 9 as the Sextacular! Sextacular! house band.

SEXTACULAR! SEXTACULAR! will open on April 2 at the Bleecker Street Theater (45 Bleecker Street between Lafayette and Bowery) for an open ended run, every Friday night at 10:30pm. Tickets ($25) are available online at www.telecharge.com or by calling 212-239-6200.

"The evening was a perfect blend of classic burlesque, aerials, acrobatics, fire work, rap, musical numbers, live bands and Joey Nova surrounded by lovely beauties, as usual, just being his cute Dreamboaty self." Melody Mudd, Cultural Capitol

JOEY NOVA (Creator & Host) is a NYC-based theatre Producer and Set Designer whose most recent work can be seen on the set of City Center's revival of The Wiz and on the glittery retro-futuristic gang-deb play, Go-Go Killers! at the Sage Theater in Times Square. He is the co-host of Vroom!-Vision at The Slipper Room and Cutie Patooties at Cake Shop, as well as the host of Precious at Sapphire Lounge. He has also worked with Wasabassco Burlesque's The NEW Monday Night Burlesque at Public Assembly.

ERIKA SMITH (Co-Creator & The Green Fairy) studied acting at The Neighborhood Playhouse with Ron Stetson, and singing at Hunter College. She cut her teeth in off-off Broadway, black box theaters and even sidewalk productions, playing characters as diverse as Amy Fisher to Susan Smith in Medea Machine to Nora in A Doll's House. Erika was first noticed by the film community for her role in the cult comedy Bite Me!. She got serious for Sinful, then learned German to play Hedda in Bachelor Party 2. Finally, with her role in Darren Aronofsky's The Wrestler, Erika began to take on some higher profile projects. She verbally sparred with Gilbert Gottfried in Hysterical Psycho, shared the screen with Billy Dee Williams in iMurders, and took the stage once again opposite Lorenzo Lamas in Dracula and with pal Rachael Robbins in their eponymous two-woman show Screen Sirens. Upcoming projects include: the film noir Rain Falls, her self-penned webseries "13 Minutes To Midnight", the dramatic feature Fake, and the ensemble comedy A Plate. A professional Marilyn Monroe impersonator on the side, Erika recently performed for Sir Paul McCartney.

JOEY NOVA PRESENTS is a theatrical think tank that has roots in a 1920's speakeasy but is set in a post-modern space lounge. Producer and Creative Director, Joey Nova brings a fresh theatrical perspective to New York City cabaret and burlesque, joining together fifteen years of experience as both a visual artist and as a nightlife impresario, to bring highly creative and conceptual cabaret shows with a rock n roll edge and a flair for the spectacular! Sextacular! Sextacular! is the second production by Joey Nova Presents, following its first production, Cutie Patooties, a burlesque show which runs monthly at Cake Shop in Manhattan's Lower East Side. Their third production is Precious, a monthly burlesque show at Sapphire Lounge celebration the ‘gems' of New York City burlesque.
