Let Nancy Anderson take you back to a time when speakeasies were born and jazz was king. With Ross Patterson and his little big band, Nancy, fresh off Broadway's Sunset Boulevard (where she understudied Glenn Close), revisits her critically acclaimed debut album Ten Cents a Dance in a nightclub -- Feinstein's/54 Below -- uniquely appropriate to her quintessential jazz-age take on enduring classics by Cole Porter, Rodgers and Hart, Irving Berlin, and the Artie Shaw Orchestra.
Nancy Anderson is a multiple Drama Desk Award Nominee who has appeared in such Broadway shows as A Class Act, Wonderful Town, and Sunset Boulevard. She appeared countless times at Town Hall in Broadway by the Year, where she developed her popular reputation as a jazz age musical theater interpreter. And her show: Nancy Anderson: Ten Cents a Dance is produced for Feinstein's/54 Below by Broadway by the Year creator, Scott Siegel, who has produced more than 300 major concerts all over the world, as well as producing, writing, and directing concerts for Michael Feinstein.
About Nancy Anderson, Scott Siegel said, "She is that rare combination of stunning actress and breathtaking singer; she makes every song she sings a musical theater event. I could not be more delighted to help Nancy bring back this extraordinary show."
