On Wednesday, December 18th, the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund. Inc. (LDF) hosted a special fundraising event at 54 Below (254 W. 54th Street, NYC) as part of its "Artists For Justice" initiative. Tony Award-Winning actress Tonya Pinkins, along with other celebrity guests, performed a cabaret concert to benefit LDF's mission. The concert featured the music of Tony Award-Winner Rupert Holmes, with performances by Sebastian Arcelus, Stephanie J. Block, Chuck Cooper, Bridgett Everett, Rupert Holmes, Norm Lewis, Patrick Page, Tonya Pinkins, John Procaccino, Steff Reed, and Tijuana Ricks.

LDF is one of America's greatest institutions at the forefront of the fight for racial and social justice for over seventy years. Throughout its history,LDF has successfully fought for inclusion and equal access to education, employment, housing and voting rights for all Americans. Recently,LDF launched the "Artists For Justice" initiative, which works with those in the arts and entertainment to develop unique ideas in support of the organization.
