SONGBOOK SUMMIT Comes To Symphony Space To Celebrate Berlin, Kern, Carmichael And More ImagePeter and Will Anderson - the identical twins and Juilliard graduates hailed as "virtuosos on clarinet and saxophone" by The New York Times - have announced a return engagement of their SONGBOOK SUMMIT concert series at Symphony Space for a four-week residency from August 7 to September 2. The Andersons and their six-piece ensemble shine the spotlight on four iconic composers (one per week) in a celebration of the Great American Songbook. The show features an engaging video presentation, entertaining narration, and live performances from the jazz sextet featuring vocalist Molly Ryan.

After a smash success last summer, The Andersons will feature the classic songs of Irving Berlin (8/7-12, "Puttin' on the Ritz," "Anything You Can Do," "There's No Business like Show Business"), Jerome Kern (8/14-19, "Ol Man River," "The Song is You," "The Way You Look Tonight"), Hoagy Carmichael (8/21-26, "Georgia on my Mind," "Stardust," "The Nearness of You") and Jimmy Van Heusen (8/28-9/2, "Come Fly with Me," "Ain't That a Kick in the Head," "All the Way").

Last year's SONGBOOK SUMMIT was named a "Critic's Pick"from Time Out New York, calling the brothers "masters of vintage jazz styles ranging from swing to hardbop." SONGBOOK SUMMIT was hailed as "a superb evening of entertainment" by Theater Pizzazz, "a fast-paced, vastly-entertaining 90-minute show" from Cabaret Scenes, and "a fabulous opportunity for music lovers" by BroadwayWorld.com.

The musical lineup features Peter Anderson (tenor & soprano saxophone, clarinet), Will Anderson (alto saxophone, clarinet, flute), Molly Ryan (vocals), Tardo Hammer or Steve Ash (piano), Clovis Nicolas (acoustic bass) and Philip Stewart (drums).

After this show The Andersons will launch a national tour including stops in Seattle (9/4), Vancouver (9/7), Portland (9/9), Los Angeles (9/22), San Francisco (10/21) and many more. Full details are at PeterAndWillAnderson.com.
