RyCa's 'Musical Theatre Reimagined' Cabaret Returns! ImageRyCa's 'Musical Theatre Reimagined' cabaret is back again, this time to celebrate it's first birthday.

The cabaret was first produced on august 20th 2017, where Ryan and his creative team (RyCa Creative) turned underground club 'Foundation Bar' into a bespoke cabaret lounge. Praised for his innovation and creative direction, Ryan has moved from strength to strength, with 'Refresh' being invited for a termly residency at 'The Hospital Club' in Covent Garden.

With Multiple venues already confirmed for 2019 and an Album due to be completed by the end of Summer, it's clear that 'REFRESH' is a popular force to be reckoned with. On his blog, Ryan Carter said

"I think everyone who works in Musical Theatre has an obligation to help it evolve. Growing up, I genuinely couldn't get my head around people that would pay hundreds of pounds to be one of thousands watching a pop artist, but wouldn't consider paying £25 to watch a musical. Refresh is already starting to bridge the gap between music lovers and musicals. It's Musical Theatre in it's most basic form : a catalogue of story telling songs, but disguised as a pop concert."

Refresh isn't just a statement for audiences though, it's also a statement for producers and creative directors everywhere. Ryan went on to say "One of the most exciting things about my cast, is the idiosyncrasies of voices. Textures and tones that are often deemed 'too quirky for mainstream theatre'. If you want to reach millennial audiences, you have to use millennial voices. You just have to."

This next concert features : Adam Gillian, Abbi Hodgson, Ben Farrall, Charlotte Miranda Smith, Elliot Sturt, Linnea Didrick, Patrick Harper, Rochelle Rose, Rhys Benjamin, Kayla Carter and William Lloyd.

Ryan also used his blog post to publicly thank the immense list of people that have appeared and worked on Refresh in the last year, referring to them as the 'Founding Fathers of RyCa Refresh'. It sounds like Ryan has an exciting year planned, for both Refresh and his Company. Ryan has also managed to run his business whilst appearing in Motown The Musical, Shaftesbury Theatre. It was also recently announced that Ryan Carter will be collaborating with 'The Shaw Theatre', it's expected that 'REFRESH' will be one of the cabarets that RyCa Creative offers.
