Paul Chamlin and Rochelle Breyer Chamlin reprise "Life Is..." at Don't Tell Mama, Tuesday February 16th at 7pm and Sunday February 28th at 4pm.

Popular cabaret couple "The Chamlins" are reprising their show Life Is...at Don't Tell Mama for 2 dates: Tuesday February 16th an 7pm and Sunday February 28th at 4pm.

Life Is...is a tuneful, irreverent, and ultimately uplifting journey through life's many dimensions. This rich theme allows Paul and Rochelle to explore a wide range of songs that touch on everything from joy and optimism to romance, heartbreak, ambition, disappointment, determination, and resilience. The show is directed by the celebrated cabaret performer Teresa Fischer, and features Tom Hubbard on Bass.

Actress and teacher Lorraine Serabian, who originated the song Life Is on Broadway as the Narrator in Zorba had this to say about the the show: "Thank you for a wonderful, life affirming evening. What a joy!"

Over the past 10 years, Paul and Rochelle have presented shows exploring such topics as the sea, traveling, women songwriters from Tin Pan Alley, and their own relationship. More recently, Gems by Jule, their tribute to Jule Style delighted audiences and received enthusiastic reviews. The couple met in 2005 in the Catskills during a professional singing gig. From those unlikely romantic beginnings evolved an inspired musical partnership, and in the last several years they've become a familiar and welcome presence on the New York cabaret scene.

Paul Chamlin has established his reputation for over 30 years as a Musical Director, coach, singer, and repertoire specialist. As MD he has accompanied such Broadway legends as Len Cariou, Anita Gillette, Lee Roy Reams, Beth Fowler, and Penny Fuller. Rochelle Breyer Chamlin comes from a classical singing background, performing as a professional soloist in opera and oratorio.
