"Blake Pfeil is in Love with a Girl Named... Irene" will be presented at Joe's Pub on Sunday, May 12th.

Pfeil is an actor, singer, composer, freelance journalist based in New York City. As a proud member of Actor's Equity, Blake's credits include the Huntington Theatre Company, the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, New Repertory Theatre, UCCS Theatreworks, Company One, among others. As a composer, Blake was a company member and resident composer of the Korean government-funded ESL children's theatre company at the Gyeonggi English Village in South Korea. His music has been featured in such venues as New World Stages, Joe's Pub, the American Theatre of Actors and Le Poisson Rouge, as well as at NYC's The Bitter End where he is a member of the Singer/Songwriter Sessions. His debut EP Crossing Connecticut will be released in June of 2013. As a freelance journalist, Blake served most-notably as the host of Standing Room Only on WERS, 88.9 FM, Boston and also served as a theatre correspondant for Groove Magazine in Seoul, South Korea.
