Encore! Critically acclaimed New York jazz-pop stylist Richard Malavet returns with his must-see show Midnight Moods for one night only on Wednesday, March 1 at 7:00 at the Metropolitan Room.

The Metropolitan Room is located at 34 West 22nd Street (between 5th & 6th Avenues.) There will be a $25 music charge and a $25 Food/Beverage minimum. Reservations/information: www.metropolitanroom.com or (212) 206 0440.

Bistro Award winner Jon Weber will serve as musical director for this unique showcase with Ed Howard on Bass. Previously, Mr. Malavet and his extraordinary band have paid homage to legends like Billy Eckstine and Frank Sinatra - as well as the Great American and Latin-American songbooks - receiving rave reviews.

For this special evening, he has chosen a program of intimate and personal favorites with piano and bass only. The show will include an eclectic mix of exceptional songs from the Great American Songbook, as well as from the canon of Broadway, pop and Latin-American greats, including gems like: "Why Shouldn't I?" (Porter), "Take the Moment" (Sondheim/Rodgers), "Piel Canela" (Bobby Capo) and "Fools Fall in Love" (Leiber & Stoller) for starters. The show will also feature musical surprises, including nods to greats like Burt Bacharach, Duke Ellington, Irving Berlin and the Gershwins.
