Photos: The Best of 2022 by Photographer Helane Blumfield

Each year, as the days wind down to January 1st, our little Broadway World Cabaret family likes to look back on the shows we have covered during the last twelve months, and make a list of our personal favorite experiences of the year. What it is that makes up a "Best Of" list is personal and private for each correspondent, especially the photographers because their photos do the talking for them, as well they should.

When our photographic artist Helane Blumfield submitted her 2022 year-end photo essay, this editor was interested (and pleased) to note that every artist Helane chose to highlight was a woman (or fluid/non-binary). I didn't know if it was intentional, I didn't ask if it was intentional, I simply acknowledged that it was wonderful.
